The place is well connected and has all the facilities one can expect in the administrative center of a region. The climate in the region is cold with the winter temperatures falling to less than -30oC.

An old university is always held in high esteem and this university also deserves that honor. The University is ranked at a prestigious 1368th position in the world.
The Institute teaching MBBS in the Far Eastern Federal University is the Far Eastern Federal University School of Biomedicine. Though the entire University is old like we said above, the Medicine faculty lacks the depth of that experience as it became operational in the year 2013. With around 500 students studying General Medicine currently, the Far Eastern Federal University official website claims that the School of Medicine is especially proud of its faculty that is highly qualified and experienced.
Also, the Medical Center associated with the School of Medicine is reportedly one of the best in the Russian Federation. The laboratories at the Medical School are also state-of-the-art and the students take part in Research work alongside the Academicians at the School.
But things may be slightly dicey for the Indian students.

Disadvantages of studying in Far Eastern Federal University
The Far Eastern Federal University is among the good Universities operational in Russia but there are certain issues that the Indian students have to face in case they choose to take admission here. Please take a careful note of the following:
- MBBS at the Far Eastern Federal University is Bilingual, an option that you must consider very seriously before deciding to choose it. Bilingual course means that the University will teach all Para-clinical and Clinical subjects in the Russian language and that would require you to be an expert in reading, speaking and writing it.
- The University may be old but the School of Medicine became operational recently and it has an experience of less than 10 years.
- As mentioned before, the cold is severe, especially for us Indians who have lived all their lives in a Tropical climate.
- Indian students who studied at the Far Eastern Federal University have not performed well in FMGE or the erstwhile MCI Screening Test in the past 5 years.
- The Far Eastern Federal University lists very low in the Indian Embassy list of Russian Universities that classifies them on the basis of academic standing.
- The Far Eastern Federal University ranking in the world is 1368th but that speaks little about the quality of education in the recently opened School of Medicine.

Admission Deadline for Far Eastern Federal University Russia
For admission in the Russian Universities, the timing of application is crucial. Generally, the right time to apply is before October to 30th October. But this year, in 2022, there could be some variation due to COVID 19.
We say that the timing of application is crucial because the issuance of the Invitation Letter by the Ministry of Education, Russia takes around 4-8 weeks on the basis of which the Russian Consulate in India issues the visa to you. If you are late in applying, you may miss going there with your batch mates. The Far Eastern Federal University admission 2022 will also follow the same pattern.
However, we reiterate that along with being Bilingual, the Far Eastern Federal University has many short-comings and we will not advise you to take admission.
Eligibility Criteria for Admission in Far Eastern Federal University
Far Eastern Federal University admission requirements include a score of 50% marks in PCB in Class XII. Of course, you need to have qualified NEET 2022.
