The inception of the Kabardino Balkarian state university medical college dates back to 1957 and since then it has continued to be operational in Nalchik creating efficient doctors. The Faculty of Medicine at KBSU began with one speciality – General Medicine. There were only two Departments – Normal Anatomy and Biology. The original staff of the Institution was ‘created’.
A group of 42 brilliant Doctors were chosen and sent to established Central Medical Universities across the country like Moscow, Saratov, Leningrad, Kazan, etc. At these Institutions, the Doctors completed their scientific work & their Ph.D theses and finally became the main staff of the Faculty of Medicine at KBSU. Thus, these ‘created’ Masters started the tradition in pedagogy that continues till date.

The Kabardino Balkarian state university admissions follow the same pattern as other Russian Universities.
