Mari State University

The university was founded in the year 1972. Currently, it has 8000 students, 6 faculties and 6 institutes. It has 4 schools:

Physics and Mathematics.
History and philology.
Agriculture ad biology.
Chemistry.

In the year 1974, the university further established 3 more departments:

Botany department.
Human and animal anatomy.
Physiology department.

About The City:

Mari el republic is the capital of Yoshkar-Ola. Yoshkar-Ola is called as the red city in Mari. Before 1919, the city was well known as “Tsaryovokokshaysk”. In between 1919 and 1927 the city was termed as “Krasnokokshaysk”.

The city was named after the Malaya Kokshaga River which flows through the city.

The city has a temperate continental climate. It is one of the ancient cities in Russia. There are a number of bus and railway routes which connects Yoshkar-Ola with different cities and towns.

The winters can be very cold. The lowest recorded Temperature is -480C. It remains between -10 to -150C. It is a great challenge for even the Natives.

Sports At The University:

Every year a “sports day” is organized by the university. The university provides a wide range of different sports activities to the students in which they can actively participate.

The sports arena of the university consist of a mini football field, a track and field complex,2 sandy courts(for beach volleyball) and an asphalt court(for team sport).

Applicant has at least 50% marks in aggregate in physics, chemistry and biology.
Applicant is turning 17 years old in 2022.
Applicant has completed his 12th class.
Applicant is not suffering from any contagious disease i.e. tuberculosis, HIV AIDS, etc.
Applicant must have his passport ready.
